Final Thoughts: 4.62/5 Quite loving the vibes here. Breaking Dawn Brunch by day and First Born by night it seems. This place gives me vibes from two places that I've loved. Brunch is always a fun meal for me and I'm always on the hunt for different places. This place provides a lot of Vietnamese fusion foods, which of course, I had to try. Food: Pho Poutine: 4.5/5 The flavor profile is phenomenal. There were multiple components to this dish. It had the wedge-like fries, cheese curds, beef short rib, and pho gravy. The pho gravy was really the highlight of this dish. It had a really rich flavor of bone broth with what tasted like MSG too. Not really complaining about the MSG here because the flavor did seem really balanced. The meat was very tender and melted away in our mouth. Aroma was very nice and apparent as soon as the dish came out. Another note about the gravy was that it really smelled like a cross between pho broth and an American gravy, which was interesting. Nice sweetness, umami, and saltiness. Fries had a nice texture to them. The onions and garnishes on top played a nice role in adding some of that freshness to it, while contributing to the texture component, as well. RBF (Resting Brunch Face): 4.1/5 This was the dish that initially intrigued me and I had a feeling it would be just ever so slightly underwhelming given all of the components to this dish - A pandan waffle, fried chicken, Viet iced coffee syrup, and fresh fruit. It didn't disappoint, but it was just exactly what I expected it to be. The highlight of this dish was definitely the chicken. It was well seasoned, had a sweet, salty, and umami flavor to it, beautiful color, and lovely crispy texture. The waffle had a nice color and aroma from the pandan. There was a slight crisp on the outside and soft inside. My one comment about this dish was the coffee syrup. This seemed to be just Vietnamese coffee that was a little heavy on the sweetened condensed milk. While this flavor itself tastes good, I don't believe it complimented this dish well. The flavor is slightly bitter and very sweet from the sweetened condensed milk. Yes, it is different, but I believe a more neutral flavored syrup or honey would have worked better in bringing this dish together. Perhaps it was also just the bitterness from the coffee that seemed like a mismatch. Aesthetics: Each dish was presented and plated nicely. The RBF was presented in a large plate. I love the color components to it, even though the dish itself was quite simple. Orchid flower toppers/garnishes are always appealing to see, even though I can't actually eat it. Seems difficult to make something like poutine look appealing simply because of what it is. They were able to present in quite nicely though and the cuts of garnishes on top with the onions finished the dish well. Side note: The names of their food items are so fun! --------- Quality: Optimal Quality of the items seemed optimal. I especially liked the meat used with the Pho Poutine. It was very tender and just melted away in my mouth. The aroma was also quite nice. The chicken was crispy on the outside, but very juicy on the inside. Seemed like chicken thigh, so that's to be expected, but overall, it was *chefs kiss*. Price: Expensive This place exudes fine dining brunch vibes for me and so do their prices. Their pho poutine was $16 and the RBF was $25. I can understand the pricing for the pho poutine, but the RBF had me taken aback for a second. The average range is within $16 to $25 depending on what you get, with a few outliers being +/-$5. Service: A+ Very first thing that they inquired about was allergies. The waiter even directed us to which food item to avoid for that specific allergy. Again, I believe it's a small, but very crucial detail that is commonly overlooked when eating out, so whenever this is addressed, I am very grateful for it. We were taken care of within a timely manner and they checked on us multiple times throughout our time dining there. Ambiance: Fine Dining Vibes The space was fairly large inside and the interior looks quite fancy - nice high ceilings. The bar table is on the right side and the remainder of the space is left for dining. Color theme is sleek with the black and white with gold accents. Definitely a cross between brunch and fine dining. We went on a Friday morning, so very calm today. Perhaps it's a little more lively for the typical Sunday Brunch days. Location/Parking: Fair Honestly, I can't say too much about the location because I almost never go to Los Gatos area. The streets seem pretty small and calm, but I could be very wrong. Just my observation for a Friday morning. The parking is on the side of the building and while it looked like optimal parking on that day, I can't imagine that being the same on other days, especially with weekends or rush hour times. It's just a row of parking spaces, which is quite simple to find, but again, probably not ample for a place like this.

So excited for this new asian fusion brunch spot. We love these kind of spots. We made reservations on yelp less than a week prior. I do think you can get a table before noon without reservations. When we arrived there was two parties dining here. One was finishing and left shortly after we sat down. They were surprisingly toddler friendly - high chair with utensils. 2 salted crema coffee.- made with Viet coffee- I thought they were delicious. Crispy pork belly fried rice - I love umami/savory foods and this was totally up my alley. The pork belly was made perfect without any chewy fatty parts. The fried rice was so delicious. I wanted to slowly eat to enjoy every bite. Pandan waffle with fried chicken - my husband got this. He loved that they marinated the chicken before frying. The batter was not heavy and the chicken was juicy. Comes with dipping sauce. For our picky toddler side of fries - I wouldn't call this a side because it was massive. You can pick from the standard string fries or potatoes. comes with ketchup. one ube pancake - you can select regular pancake or ube Comes with a side of sweet dipping sauce - whip cream is salted. She had both which made our lives easier. Two spacious unisex bathrooms in the back. The service was great. Our waters were refilled. They gave us a small container for the sauce for the pancake. We obviously didn't finish our food - portions are decently sized here. It is not cheap to eat here but the food was all made well. There are plenty of parking lots nearby. We did choose to come here on a Saturday to avoid the Sunday farmers marker crowd.

Grabbed a same day reservation for two for our anniversary lunch date This place was so fun! Live DJ, Asian fusion brunch, what more could you ask for?! We ordered - Pork fried rice: amazing, so flavorful - Tacos: literally blew my mind. So light, refreshing, and yummy. Banh xeo (tortilla replacement) had a nice crunch. Would absolutely recommend - Caviar: fantastic. 1 oz was plenty for two people. good variety of accompaniments. I personally prefer a lighter 'vessel' with caviar so I just adjusted my ratio of caviar to pancake - one normal Viet coffee and one salted crema coffee: tasted amazing. a bit expensive but the taste was spectacular. All the food came out super fast and the service was extremely friendly. I will absolutely be sharing this place with my friends!

I love this place! Have been here a few times already and it's always good. I appreciate that they do take online reservations now. The wait time used to be unpredictable bc of the drive coming from San Francisco, then finding parking and having to walk in to put a name down. The banh xeo tacos, fried chicken and pandan waffles, and garlic noodles with beef are a few of my favorites. They have a full bar but I always get either the mimosa or espresso martini. Service is always great. Very welcoming and attentive. I highly recommend!

We really enjoyed our brunch here at Breaking Dawn Brunch - the food is solid and delicious, the decor is beautiful and inviting, and the overall "theme" of the restaurant is detailed and well-thought-out. First, the food. The Big Hass Omelette (good sense of humor on several menu items ...) was fluffy and packed with spinach and cheese. The potatoes were crispy and full of flavor. I appreciate that the salt content of the omelette was low, which by itself made for an average taste, but it is nice to have control over your salt intake. With a bit of salt and pepper, the flavors came out nicely. The Ooh BAE Pancakes comes in a stack of three thin, but soft, cakes which were delicately sweetened. The sea salt crema lends a buttery flavor, however, the coconut syrup adds an extra layer of creaminess and sweetness that brings everything together. Nicely done! My favorite of the meal is the Crispy Pork Belly Fried Rice. I wasn't really expecting much from a fried rice offering, but I was pleasantly-surprised at the marvel novelty of the dish. It is not often you find such a well-crafted dish that gives a wide variety and combination of flavors. Meaning, each item, whether it be the crispy pork belly, the flavored rice, the truffle unagi sauce, the pickled onion or even the sunny side up egg, has a unique flavor that by combining a couple or three or even all of each item gives a uniquely different flavor and texture palette. I had fun trying to find the best combination (I won't spoil it by naming my favorite combo!) of flavors. Finally, I must give kudos to the interior designer, as the decor was beautifully done. Even the restrooms were amazing, from the black toilet, the black and gold wallpaper, the black ceiling, the simple grey stone wash basin with the water works faucet, a vase of beautiful flowers in the corner in the spotlight, and again the black paper towel dispenser. This is such a wonderfully-designed restroom that matches the over-all the of the restaurant's interior. The attention to detail is much appreciated! If I can fault this restaurant, it would be that the tables are set a bit too close. My chair bumped into the person sitting behind me a few times, and I felt a bit cramped getting up and sitting down in my chair. For an up-scale restaurant, not only do you get a varied food menu of tasty (and humorously-named), but the atmosphere is very inviting, while being classy, clean and caring.

Cute place in Los Gatos that serves brunch with a Vietnamese twist. This location also becomes a different restaurant at night time. There is a full bar with seating. The restaurant itself was really clean including the bathrooms. My only complaint is the chairs because it's very hard to get in and out of. We came on a Thursday for brunch and it wasn't busy. Service was fast and dishes came out in a timely manner. Banh xeo tacos were my favorite! The shell was so crispy. Pho poutine was also very rich in flavor. RBF is fried chicken on top of a pandan waffle with fruit and a cafe sua da syrup and the chicken was fried and seasoned to perfection. The fo sizzzle is equivalent to a banh mi chao and it was great also! I highly recommend coming here for brunch and would love to come check out their dinner menu!

We found this place while searching for our weekend meal. This place is far from us in beautiful Los Gatos but we had to try it. We travel for good food. There is plenty of parking in the back. The inside interior is beautiful and great for a date. I love their Iced Coconut Vietnamese coffee! It has fresh shredded coconut on top. I wish it was a bigger size for the price though. We also tried their Banh Xeo tacos. It's pretty good size for one person each. It comes with good sauce. We had their Loco Moco which was good. We also liked their Pho Poutine which was beef with curly steak like fries. We had a dessert to complete our meal. The Coconut Pandan Pann Cotta was excellent and smooth. Not too sweet either. Service was great as well as the food. I would definitely come back to try their additional dishes especially their Ube Pancakes. I would recommend this place to try if you're in the area. A fun brunch spot to hang out with family and friends. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance on their website or Yelp as this place gets pretty busy especially on the weekends. We made a resy for 11 AM on a Saturday and the restaurant was already packed! Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed there was a live DJ!!! Pretty cool but as you can imagine, it can get a bit loud if you're trying to talk amongst your table. It does make celebrating birthdays a great vibe though! We had the banh xeo tacos, pho poutine, crispy pork belly fried rice, and the RBF. Banh xeo 2/5 - This was probably the most disappointing appetizer because the flour for the banh xeo wasn't thin and crispy. It was a bit chewy and hard making it challenging to eat. The contents of the banh xeo consisted of shrimp and thit nuong along with greens and bean sprouts. Definitely an interesting twist to a traditional banh xeo. Flavors were there. Pho poutine 5/5 - This was the best appetizer. It was novel and definitely tasted like pho with cheese and fries. Flavorful and a great dish to share. It doesn't disappoint! Crispy pork belly fried rice 5/5 - The pork belly resembled chicharrones. With each bite of fried rice, there was a nice crunch factor to add texture to the meal. Loved it! RBF 5/5 - Who doesn't love a good fried chicken? The batter for the chicken was light, airy, and crispy. The inside of the chicken was tender and juicy. It paired well with the pandan waffle and the ca phe sua da sauce. Give it a try! The waffle was a bit dry but adding the sauce helped. All in all a busy environment, but great place for amazing food!
